Selfishness...

Selfish/Unselfish Behavior

adj. an adjective... someone who is only concerned with themselves.

The act of being unselfish ceases when the ulterior motive is to prove oneself unselfish. "Look what I've did... I did it for you. See, everybody... look at me... "

Pure, unadulterated, unselfishness occurs when no one's watching, and the motive is for no other reason. No acknowledgment required... For love, maybe - just because... might even make 'em feel needed...

Now, no one's perfect, we know that. As human beings we're all a little bit selfish, it's part of our nature. We must accept this.

This brings us to our position on the evolutionary scale!
